1. What the Service is
16kb Checker is a free, public website that runs in your browser. You can upload supported Android build artifacts—.apk, .aab, up to 150 MB per file—and receive a local report that may include: 16 KB-related native library checks, manifest details, size breakdown, framework-style path hints, and suggested fix steps. You can choose Strict or Studio-style scan strictness (see How the scan works).
The Service is an engineering helper. It is not legal advice, not a Google product, and not a substitute for Google Play Console review or policies.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Use the Service only if you can enter a binding agreement where you live and only in line with these Terms and the law. The public Service does not require an account to scan. The Support form collects contact details as described in the Privacy policy.
3. Your files and permissions
You may only upload files you are allowed to test and that you may lawfully process on your device. You keep ownership of your files. Scanning and storage work as described in the Privacy policy (including sessionStorage in this tab). You are responsible for exports, screenshots, and anyone with access to your machine or browser profile.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law or infringe others’ rights;
- attack, disrupt, or overload the Service or related infrastructure (including denial-of-service);
- try to get unauthorized access to systems, data, or accounts;
- reverse engineer the Service where law or contract forbids it;
- misrepresent your affiliation with us, or use the Service to spread malware or harmful content.
We may suspend or block use we reasonably believe violates these Terms or threatens security.
5. Accuracy, Play Console, and policies
Store rules, devices, and tooling change. Output may be incomplete or wrong. A result in 16kb Checker does not guarantee acceptance, ranking, or compliance in Google Play Console or any other store. You remain responsible for releases, disclosures, and regulatory duties.
6. Exports
You may export reports (for example JSON, CSV, HTML, or print/PDF) from your browser. You are responsible for how you store, share, or publish those exports and for any third-party rights in the data they contain.
7. Third parties
The Service may link to other sites or rely on third-party services (hosting, fonts, optional Firebase analytics when you opt in, Web3Forms for Support). Their terms apply to you when you use them. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services you choose to use.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, and related materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Unless a separate open-source license applies to code you obtained elsewhere, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the public Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, scrape, or exploit the Service in ways that compete with or harm us, except as allowed by law.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON SCAN OUTPUT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY) OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD $50). THE SERVICE IS OFFERED WITHOUT CHARGE; (A) WILL OFTEN BE ZERO. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us and our contributors against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your files, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may change the Service or these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date for material Terms changes and, where reasonable, add a short notice on the site. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law says otherwise.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or stop offering the Service, or limit access, with or without notice—especially for abuse, risk, or legal reasons.
14. General
Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
No waiver. Not enforcing a term now is not a waiver later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy policy are the full agreement between you and us about the Service and replace earlier understandings on this topic.
Governing law. Unless mandatory consumer laws where you live require otherwise, these Terms follow the laws that apply to the operator of this public deployment, without picking another country’s rules only because of conflicts-of-law. Courts with jurisdiction may hear disputes, except where you have non-waivable rights to sue at home.
